the bad news is that due to unforeseen delays that had absolutely nothing to do with me, my jazz cd what is love? will not be available for purchase at the new year's eve eve gig with the salon at the player's club on december 30.
the good news is that it will be ready for pick up from the manufacturer by (or perhaps even before) january 13, 2010.
more good news: you can hear selections from the album (does anyone say "album" anymore?) on myspace - http://www.myspace.com/queenestherandthehotfive - and reverbnation - http://www.reverbnation.com/queenesther5
if you do happen to give any of the songs a listen, feel free to leave me a note. i'd love to know what you think.

"...he said the sheriff is near!"
i've been way too busy finishing up the liner notes, artwork and mastering for my jazz cd "what is love?" -- which, shockingly, should be hot off the manufacturing rack and ready to sell at my new year's eve eve gig at the player's club with my quintet -- to blog anything of interest here. it's almost done, though. yay! i even found a publicist/radio promoter who believes in the album, believe it or not. God only knows how long it's going to take to get it on iTunes. please bear with me.
i've been working on a few more country songs, freelancing during the day, singing with swing bands and auditioning for minstrel shows. clearly, blogworthy things are happening to me every day. i've got to get on the stick!
in the meantime - the great news is *drumroll, please!* i'm going to sign with my talent agent next week. now that's a nice way to end the year.
